A Visiting Professor of Computing in Akwa Ibom State University; a Visiting Reader in University of Calabar; and formerly working in School of Engineering and Computing, University of the West of Scotland, UK. Researcher in information systems including knowledge management, elearning, eHospitality and social networking.
Published widely in academic journals, conferences, book chapters; and served in a number of editorial boards. Recent publication is Leveraging Developing Economies with the Use of Information Technology: Trends and Tools
Served in a number of scientific committes of conferences some of which he chaired eg Conference on Information Technology and Economic Development.
Consultants in areas ranging from soft information systems to hard ones like Database Development including client server systems for any DBMS. Clients are international for instance for small businesses in Scotland on behalf of UWS and the South of Scotland Business Solutions using EU funding. One of the recent (Dec 2012 to Mar 2013) consultancies was for iPacific Frontiers (firstname.lastname@example.org) on a Feasibility Study to build an ISP Business Case with Market Entry Strategy into the Solomon Islands’ ICT Sector.
Lecturing and teaching from business oriented to information technology subjects which include databases (with Oracle and CIW qualifications); networking (with Cisco qualifications); programming in Visual Basic; global information systems. Have graduated 6 PhDs – the first one on Artificial Intelligence, the next 5 on various contexts of knowledge sharing and the last on Web 2.0 for mobile learning. Also examined 5 PhDs – 3 internally and 2 externally.
